Well the M4 came about 1994 but it's based off the M16 and M16 Carbine. The M16 came about in 1957, wasn't used until 1961. But ya, overall it's an old piece of crap lol. The gas tube system in it is completely worthless. Which is why the H&K 416 is so cool. Just swap the upper receiver and you have a decent gun.

lol im actually pretty sick of the m16 m4 design in its own...i mean idk i personally think for active soldiers that the army should basically set a certain amount they can spend on a gun like $1300 like the M4s cost and the soldiers can get their own weapons...if they cost more than that then obviously the army should deduct the rest outta their pay...now obvciously they should have to stick within certain peraminters so idiots dont go buying like an Mp5 for the battle field or whatnot

Exactly. Like I said yesterday, I think soldier's should get a gun catalog and pick which gun they want. But like you said, it would have to fall under certain perameters. Like no SMG's or guns of rediculous calibers and such. But ya, just have the Army pay a certain amount of it and the rest is deducted outta the soldiers pocket.

Well, a lot of soldiers have no idea what the best gun, or a good one is for that matter, and the military doesn't want people to buy guns that use non NATO rounds, strange caliber bullets (Ex: P90 12.7mm bullet I think) or have a gun where replacement parts are not available for on hand. For $1300 you are getting EOTech/Aimpoint sight, foregrip, RIS, combat light, possibly more. An EOTech alone is $375 on average and ACOG's are over a thousand except for a few for $995 so....... MP5's suck.

Hey don't people know bout that new caliber like 6.8 that all you need to do is to replace the upper reciever of the m4?

Sounds like the most cost effective way to go.

It is 6.5mm and it doesn't solve the reliability issues (it is still the obsolete method of loading).

ok genius that stuff is that expensive for civilians not military cause they get it in bulk which makes it alot cheaper...and as i said previously they could choose their gun but they would need to stick to certain specs and parameters. making it so some random soldier doesnt go buy a p90 for the hell of it...and mp5s dont suck...they are just 9mm which means if ure not in super cqb they do suck and usually they are used by swat and ppl like that who dont wanna go cqb and totally annhilate ppl...hunters will have some what of an understanding of what i mean

oh not to mention the spec ops likes to use it becuase its a auto cqb weapon that can obviously be silenced...now as known even with a silencer its still pretty loud so they might wanna be quiter than using .45. not to mention with 9mm hollowpoint you will easily fuck someone up

They have almost NO penetration capabilities and penetration is good for CQB and only SOME MP5's have the hook thing that holds the charging handle back because apparently "nien enemies cannot know when your out of ammo!" so reloading can be affected. Even hollowpoints don't have enough penetration if their 9mm. You can also suppress a KRISS all you need is -14mm threads, suppressed weapons all sound pretty much the same.

ha yeah right no way are they all have the same sound level when they are silenced but ok...not to mention u use a gun to shoot ppl not walls...and you wouldnt that logically shoot through walls anyways...and seriously thats why u fucking choose a certain for certain mission so maybe if ure mission requires u to shoot through walls bring a .45 if it doesnt a 9mm...alll these differnet guns are made not only for money and competition but also for certain things

haha yeah in the movies...lol and yeah terrorists cant realy afford it generally...oh and maybe URE hits are on the torso lol...i guarentee u a navy seal or delta is gonna pop em in the head...obviously not like in the movies where one guy takes a deagle and blows 10 ppl away all at once...but yeah navy seals and such have enough training to head shot...trust me im a hunter...my first deer i killed i shot its ass through the spine and parakyzed it...second one hit its head while it was running through the fog...this was all 300 yards plus away...so with enough practice you can become a very very good shot...

Dude, I'm sorry, but Cameron, you don't know about guns lol. It is a 6.8 not a 6.5 (6.8 mm Remington SPC or 6.8x43mm). The 6.8 is the Barrett M468 which can be bought as an upper only or a full gun. As for all guns sounding the same silenced, HAHA! And I doubt a high percentage of enemies have body armor. It's expensive and if you decide to make it, very time consuming. As for Special Forces being good shots, not shit lol. They go for 2 in the chest 1 in the head or just a plain ol headshot. Admittedly, you can;t get a perfect shot off all the time, but these guys are the best of the best. They're constantly training, if their not deployed they're training.

Like I just told my buddy, Spec Ops is headshots, knife kills, kneck breaks n choke outs. They're gone before u know what hit you. Covert, night missions usually.
